Napa Valley is a wine country in California where I spent a week in spring break.
We landed in San Francisco in a bit late night so we only had a nice dinner in our hotel for the day. The next day, we went to S.F. Bay, the most popular place to visit because its famous jail- Alcatraz Island.
The famous 12 acre precipitous rocky island, facing the Golden Gate, was declared a military reservation by all executive order in 1850. It was a jail, but now is a museum for visiters.
Then, we off SF trip and drove pass through the Golden Gate Bridge to Sonoma Valley; one of the wine valleys. We were planning to stop by a fewer wine testing places everyday from late morning until early evening. I was so exciting to visit the vineyards because I was not quite understand how to make wines. One the way to Sonoma, I saw lots of vineyards, one of them was glorious, it has about 80 acres, 300 rows and mustards flower between rows, each row has about 25 bines, depends on what kind the grapes, it's fantastic. Most of the vineyards have some cows, sheep and horses on the other farm next to the vineyard.
I felt like drinking too much after a long wine testing day, so I decided to skip the lunch drinks, otherwise I would pass out before our dinner. One morning, we stopped by a friend's farm on Andrson Valley, he showed us around his cellar that has lots of huge wine tubs and the smell was incredible, just alike plum and raisin. We sat down in from of his vineyard and had glasses of wine looked at the enormous farm, I thought what a wonderful life if you own a farm; its my dream.
Finally, we got back our villa on Napa Valley. We had a SPA and sauna in our villa, it was facing mountain so no one around if you intend to naked. The weather was shine and hot; therefore, we went out and walked around the hotel, took some pictures, enjoyed the lovely villa in Napa Valley.
